My Car was extremely vandalized, I'm wondering if it's considered totaled.?
2004 GTI VR6
Kelly Blue Book Value 15,000
Damages include
Huge scratches on Passenger Side Pannel
Minor scratch on Rear side pannel
All windows shattered
All leather seats slashed
Shift stick doesn't shift
Interior side panels viynl slashed
Radio busted
They cut a whole bunch of wires under the hood and some oil tubings
They poured Dirt into the oil compartment of the engine
Ignition was ripped out and all the wires in there were snipped
Is this car worth fixing? What should I do? How do I make the best of this situation with Geico?
Please help.
A police report was already filed, and I already contacted Geico, It's the weekend and adjusters dont work on the weekend so I have to wait until Monday before they give me the answer and It's killing me to wait until then.
So I'm wondering how much will all that damage cost to fix? More or less then 15,000?
if it's not totalled does anyone know if they will just cut me a check ?
Judging from the amount of damage you describe, it sounds totaled... especially if the engine has been compromised with dirt ! GEICO will only give you the book value unless you have GAP insurance... so hopefully you have a clue as to who did this... you will probably want to sue them or their parents if they are minors !
