Antique Furinture with devil faces?
Trying to find out if the armoire I have is a real antique or just a strange piece of furniture. It is an armoire that is about 6' tall. The wood on the doors is booked matched and there is definetly 2 demon faces in the wood grain. One is supposed to be the man and the other is a woman. I am not just "seeing" things. The woods was chosen because of the face and then eyes and genitals were added to make it very creepy... Trying to determine what era/ make this piece is from.
The image of the devil was taken from pagan gods by the Catholic Church to convert people to Christianity. It might not be the devil but a Pagan god Pan or Kernunnos.Since the devil has no consort it might be Pan. So don't think it is evil or has anything to do with satanism. I wish I could see it.
