please help me with info and value on my antique singer sewing unit?

serial number is 13295255 it has heaps of gold ornate designs including a sphinx with wings, and it sits on a very ornate table with 4 wood carved ornate drawers. i can email photos if they are needed. from what i can tell online its pre 1900, but id love to know what year, rarity, and estimated value. thank you!!!!

Looks like it's probably an 1895 machine, going by the serial number list at http://www.singerco.com/support/serial_noletter.html -- you might want to give them a call at
1 800-4-singer and they may be able to tell you the model number.

If the machine and cabinet are in excellent condition, it may be worth several hundred dollars; if not so wonderful, much less. The folks at ISMACS may be able to tell you better if you know the serial number and can possibly post some pictures:
